Food wine and service was very good. I did not like the threat of a large charge for no show or cancellation within an hour of reservation. I am an honest person who means what he says. This threat feels you assume I am not. I am just not comfortable with being assumed I am not honest or with ill intent. I trust you, that your business.will be there when I arrive. Something just doesn’t feel equal

A decidedly mixed experience. The restaurant has a warm, snug atmosphere with friendly staff to greet your arrival. Excellent beetroot appetiser was followed by unremarkable, modest potion of char fillet and a large double schnitzel , one of which was fine and the other was tough. Pointing this out to the waiter was met with an offer to replace it (no thanks!) but, disappointingly, no cost reduction, which rather took the edge off the evening.

The food was exceptional. Terrific Tafelspitz and delicious plum tartin. But not cheap and was shocked to be charged 20% service automatically, especially after waitress was in such a hurry that she spilled entire jug of jus over the table narrowly missing me and not offering any credit. Is 20% the new standard?

Amazing food - the Salzburgen Nokerl was amazing as was the Pheasant. Some of the best food I have ever eaten. Wine selection could be better.
