My waitress was the rudest waitress I’ve ever had. I can’t believe that I go to a prestigious place that is pretty expensive and get treated like that. Ruined the whole experience, if you can call it that. That back closet room is ridiculously stupid.

Service was very slow, had to keep chasing waiter for a drink order. Ordered 2 soup but was given no soup spoons to eat/drink it. Either the staff were inexperienced or Restaurant was understaffed that evening that possibe Food was at least tasty and good.

Food is good (not excellent), place is really nice with beautiful decorations but being charged for things we didn’t order and served (bread and butter) for 6/each and another 4 euros coming from nowhere is a steal! Being the oldest restaurant doesn’t doesn’t give the right to engage in such dishonest business practices.

Das Essen war tadellos, aber es war einfach kein Erlebnis. Wir wurden schnell abgefertigt, es wurden keine weiteren Getränke erfragt und auch die Karte wurde nie wieder gebracht. Ich hätte gerne das doppelte an Umsatz dagelassen, aber der fehlende Service hat das verhindert. Ich habe lange voraus reserviert und hatte trotzdem das Gefühl wir haben einen Notfallplatz bekommen. Schönes Lokal, gutes Essen aber alles in allem dann deutlich zu teuer für das, was man (nicht) geboten bekommt.

Un lugar único en el corazón histórico de la ciudad. El local tiene muchas salas decoradas de diferentes estilos y colores. Nosotros fuimos con una inmersión de Navidad, cosa que nos hizo decirnos por él! El servicio fue muy amable. La carta no es super extensa pero lo justo para poder tener un poco de todo. Es algo cara pero una ocasión especial lo merece, y el sabor del plato bien lo acompaña. Si es desorbitado el precio de la carta de vinos. Optamos por dos copas de botella abierta para acompañar las carnes. Sin duda un muy buen recuerdo de Salzburgo.

This was my second visit to your restaurant. The first time, the food was excellent — I was very satisfied, and it fully matched your great reputation. Yesterday, I came again, this time with my parents, as part of a family trip in Austria. I wanted to show them your restaurant because of its long history and unique cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The soup we ordered did not reflect the level of such an established restaurant, and we had to return it. The venison dish — which was the main reason I came back — was served as a stew rather than as before, but that wasn’t the real issue. The meat was very tough and tasted like ordinary home-cooked meat, far from what I expected based on my previous visit. Overall, we left mainly disappointed with the food. We’ve dined at several other restaurants in Vienna that were much better. The one truly positive aspect was our wonderful waiter, who provided excellent and genuinely pleasant service. I sincerely hope this message reaches the management, as I believe there’s a dramatic gap between the food quality I experienced four months ago and what was served yesterday. I travel frequently to Austria for business and would be happy to bring guests to your restaurant in the future — provided the food quality returns to its previous high standard.
