Wenn wir in Salzburg sind, gehören die abendlichen Besuche im Gasthof Goldgasse dazu. Das Essen schmeckt immer hervorragend, serviert wird es mit Herzlichkeit. Der Gast ist König.

Etwas zu schnelle Servierabfolge. Leberknödel waren etwas zu kompakt. Sonst herrschte Zufriedenheit.

Terrific (if expensive) choice of place to stay in Salzburg. Superbly located with a wonderful restaurant. Junior suite “Peer Gynt” on the 3rd floor is very comfortable. Ulriki at the concierge desk is the bomb!

Awful awful awful. Some lows - there were no highs: €6.50 for three small slices of bread; tasteless watery boiled beef - being asked for a top at the card machine.

Attentive staff and lovely traditional setting and whist the food was well cooked and presented it lacked that je ne sais quoit that we were hoping for. Never the less a great evening primarily made by the lovely Canadian couple on the adjacent table.

We booked the Gasthof because it was listed in the Michelin guide and we had quite some expectations therefore. The team was very professional, friendly and provided very good service. Also the atmosphere was good. On the other hand, the food did not reach the expectations we had, considering the price we paid. The fish (pike-perch) was slightly overcooked, served with a watery and uninspiring bouillon, definitely not worth the money. Although in the menu it was clearly listed a guinea fowl breast, on my plate I got a (tiny) guinea fowl supreme: breast with a bone attached. This was no at all what I was expected considering the menu and specially the price. The supreme was well cooked, though the portion was very small. It was accompanied with 4 little pieces of artichoke and bulgur that was not - to my understanding the announced barley ragout. The whole culinary experience was unfortunately disappointing. At the end we paid 70 Euro per person for one only plate and a shared bottle of wine.

Schöne, fast heimelige Atmosphäre, ohne touristische Folklore, leckere Speisen, sehr hübsch arrangiert, freundliches Personal.

Food was ok, had much better for less money, staff at the end of our evening were very unprofessional, chasing each other around the bar and drinking behind the bar!!!!

Wir werden hier nicht mehr hinkommen - Service war alles andere als gut, unaufmerksam bei Bestellung, andere Gäste sind aufgestanden, weil sie nicht bedient wurden bzw. schon lange beim Eingang gestanden sind. Leere Teller wurden lange nicht abserviert. Wir wurden auch nicht gefragt, ob uns das Essen geschmeckt hat und ob alles gepasst hat. Sind gewillt für gutes Essen und Service auch mehr zu zahlen, aber die Getränkepreise von offenen Wein, Schaumwein und Aperitif ist viel zu hoch für diesen Service. Tafelspitz, Backhendl, Beef Tartare und Spargel gekocht waren sehr gut. Die Croutons in der Spargelsuppe haben nicht knusprig geschmeckt sondern so als wären sie schon länger in der Suppe.

The food was OK, but the circumstances in this small restaurant cramped with very noisy people was horrendous so that normal conversation without shouting was totally impossible.

Alles super, freue mich auf das nächstes Mal wieder als ich in Salzburg sein werde.
