Flawless evening! Service was impeccable, and food was delicious! The ambiance is comfortable and cozy, but also special enough for a special occasion if that's what you're looking for. Great value for the price too.

Das Gasthaus ist sehr gemütlich. Angeboten wird gehobene Salzburger Küche. Das Backhendl war sehr zart. Die Ente war ok aber nicht herausragend. Das Highlight waren die Salzburger Nockerln. Eine absolute Empfehlung!!!

Erstklassiger Gasthof im Herzen Salzburgs. Der Empfang und das Service ist erstklassig. Geschmacklich hervorragende Speisen und eine sehr gute Auswahl in der Speisekarte. Es wird auch ein Mittagsmenü mit Suppe und Hauptspeise angeboten. Der Gasthof Goldgasse ist aus meiner Sicht uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

We had a reservation to celebrate our anniversary and our table was set with rose petals when we arrived. The service was terrific! The atmosphere was as expected - we had a romantic corner but there were a couple large groups as well. Even a family with very small children, and the staff went the extra mile to help keep them entertained so that everyone could have a calm dining experience. My companion ordered the veal schnitzel and it was tasty but a bit overcooked. I had a salad and every morsel was fresh and tasty. A note - the Salzburg nockreln is a very large dessert, and is definitely a souffle and not a meringue. It was worth experiencing it once, and is enough for a party of four to share. But we also had a (flourless??) chocolate brownie with raspberry gelato and it was to die for!

When the waitress brought me the bill, she suggested tipping 10%, which is too much to be honest. This is not the US and every employee has a salary at the end of the month. Every guest should decide how much he wants to tip and this attitude ruins a bit the experience.

We were there on Christmas Day. The staff was so friendly, kind, and attentive. I speak German but my partner does not, and they we kind enough to speak to me in German and her in English. The food was absolutely outstanding. The fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had. The gnocchi was so fluffy and delectable. Overall it was a truly wonderful experience. 10/10. If we weren’t leaving tomorrow, we’d come back again, and when we are in Salzburg again, this will be the first stop.

What a fantastic way to spend a late lunch. This place is incredible. We shared the salad with beetroot not sure what was in the dressing but it was incredible! I had the fried chicken and my husband had the burger. Both were wonderful. The house sparkling wine was great too and a great price. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in Salzburg.

Geschmacklich fein, die vegetarische Variante (Kartoffelnocken mit Ziegenkäse) hatte von der Menge her allerdings leider eher Vorspeisencharakter. Preis- Leistung steht hier in keinem Verhältnis. Das Servicepersonal wusste mit dieser Kritik nichts anzufangen und reagierte eher unbeholfen.
