Head waiter very pushy to sell up expensive drinks, no time to settle in seat. Then told us schnitzel was most boring on the menu when we had all been looking forward to it. A downer. VERY expensive drinks. Waiters in aprons however were very good and friendly.

Lautstärke: ein kläffender Hund im Lokal ist kein Genuss. Preis/Leistung: an Preise für ein normales Hauptgericht über 30.- € , die Weinpreise und Getränkepreise, extra Gedeck haben wir uns noch nicht gewöhnt.

My husband and I dined here yesterday. The food was a more fancier version of traditional Austrian food and it was lovely. The room and table we had was great and the staff helpful and friendly.

Very nice food, most things were delicious. But I think it is overpriced to be honest. Service could be improved, they take too long.

Quick Sunday lunch at St. Peter, amidst scores of people in this actually quite big restaurant. Nevertheless, the service was spot on and very friendly, the food excellent and the atmosphere of the place unique. Prices are a bit high, but as the oldest restaurant in Europe, you carry a premium. Will go there again.

The food is delicious, and very Austrian. The staff were all friendly, spoke excellent english (which is very appreciated) and were knowledgeable. The noise level is good, given were were in a cavern, and I was surprised to see that you really could bring your dog! To dine here is to treat yourself, as it is expensive, but it is also worth it.

Empfang, Service und Küche waren sehr gut, auf musikalische Berieselung kann ich verzichten, aber das ist Ansichtssache. Jederzeit wieder einen Besuch wert.

The service was great. The food was delicious and the portions were big.

Da zahlt man hauptsächlich für das Ambiente und die Geschichte des Hauses. Die Vor- und Hauptspeisen waren nicht mehr als guter Durchschnitt, ( Saltimbocca vom Kabeljau absolut ohne Gewürz) das verpflichtende Brot beim Gedeck war für 6 Euro eine Frechheit ! Zäh und labbrig.... Der Service war "funktional ", unnahbar und unverbindlich. Wir waren in einem Tel des Restaurants, wo immer mehr Angestellte durch die Gegend liefen, als Gäste saßen. Insgesamt sehr unruhig und ungemütlich, trotz der ohne Zweifel einmaligen Einrichtung/ Ambiente. Und dann wurden auch noch, während wir aßen, neben uns die Besteckeinsätze ausgebaut und gereinigt..... Sorry, aber für ein Haus mit diesen Preisen sollte auch der Anspruch der Betreiber ein anderer sein. Ich zahle gerne mal 150 bis 200 Euro für zwei Personen ( ohne Wein ) dann sollte aber bitte auch alles passen. Insgesamt ein enttäuschender Besuch. Schade !

The food and atmosphere were enjoyable, however we were disappointed to find that we were charged per person for bread that we were not asked if we wanted and had not ordered. If bread is just brought to the table with no question then it should not be charged unless the menu states it is a mandatory item/fee.

Thoroughly enjoyed it- it was expensive but food delicious and atmosphere amazing!

Reservations are essential. The manager at the lunchtime we went, was able to kindly give us a tour (as the there was a lighter attendance on the day we were there) of the whole restaurant. He was incredibly knowledgeable, good humored, and passionate about the restaurant. He was a delight!
