War ein bester Abend,alles hat gepasst und das Essen war hervorragend!

We booked the Gasthof because it was listed in the Michelin guide and we had quite some expectations therefore. The team was very professional, friendly and provided very good service. Also the atmosphere was good. On the other hand, the food did not reach the expectations we had, considering the price we paid. The fish (pike-perch) was slightly overcooked, served with a watery and uninspiring bouillon, definitely not worth the money. Although in the menu it was clearly listed a guinea fowl breast, on my plate I got a (tiny) guinea fowl supreme: breast with a bone attached. This was no at all what I was expected considering the menu and specially the price. The supreme was well cooked, though the portion was very small. It was accompanied with 4 little pieces of artichoke and bulgur that was not - to my understanding the announced barley ragout. The whole culinary experience was unfortunately disappointing. At the end we paid 70 Euro per person for one only plate and a shared bottle of wine.

Schöne, fast heimelige Atmosphäre, ohne touristische Folklore, leckere Speisen, sehr hübsch arrangiert, freundliches Personal.

Wie immer hervorragend, Service sehr freundlich, einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Wir kommen wieder.

Exceptional food in a beautiful setting with friendly helpful staff we had a wonderful evening meal in Salzburg to be remembered

Food was ok, had much better for less money, staff at the end of our evening were very unprofessional, chasing each other around the bar and drinking behind the bar!!!!

Wir werden hier nicht mehr hinkommen - Service war alles andere als gut, unaufmerksam bei Bestellung, andere Gäste sind aufgestanden, weil sie nicht bedient wurden bzw. schon lange beim Eingang gestanden sind. Leere Teller wurden lange nicht abserviert. Wir wurden auch nicht gefragt, ob uns das Essen geschmeckt hat und ob alles gepasst hat. Sind gewillt für gutes Essen und Service auch mehr zu zahlen, aber die Getränkepreise von offenen Wein, Schaumwein und Aperitif ist viel zu hoch für diesen Service. Tafelspitz, Backhendl, Beef Tartare und Spargel gekocht waren sehr gut. Die Croutons in der Spargelsuppe haben nicht knusprig geschmeckt sondern so als wären sie schon länger in der Suppe.

Service was excellent but the food was even better. Fantastic experience from beginning to end. I'm glad we got to experience this wonderful restaurant.

The food was OK, but the circumstances in this small restaurant cramped with very noisy people was horrendous so that normal conversation without shouting was totally impossible.

Alles super, freue mich auf das nächstes Mal wieder als ich in Salzburg sein werde.

Fabulous food, restaurant and people. It is really worth the visit

We saw a YouTube video about Salzburg which included this restaurant so we decided to try it. We really loved the ambience and the service was quite good. We ordered the signature fried chicken dish which did not disappoint and the pike-perch was also enjoyable. Our only disappoint was that the signature Nockerl only came in one size - large- too much dessert for just the two of us so didn't get to try it. The flambeau dessert was average (love the hazelnuts) however the table side preparation was a very nice touch. Consider this place for a meal when in Salzburg.

The restaurant was beautiful; small and very quaint and intimate. Dinner was spectacular. We had the Châteaubriand for two and we also had steak tartare. Absolutely delicious. Service was great.

Piacevole cena, tavolo tranquillo all'esterno in una serata quasi estiva. Servizio cortese e competente, nessun problema di comunicazione nonostante io non parli tedesco. Piatti ben concepiti e abbondanti. Ottimo in particolare il Salzburger Nockerl, dolce tipico locale che non conoscevo ma è stato gradevolissimo. Consiglierei senza alcun dubbio il locale agli amici.

V. a. die Getränke sind wie überall in Österreich stark überteuert - 0,1 l Bründlmayersekt um € 14,50 ist schon heftig; Und dass das Gedeck vergessen wurde ohne es zu bemerken (wir mussten darauf aufmerksam machen, nachdem die Vorspeise serviert wurde), sollte in einem Lokal dieser Preisklasse nicht vorkommen (allerdings hat sich die Kellnerin dafür extra entschuldigt!)

Leider wurde alte Glace serviert! Sollte nicht passieren. Habe dann eine neue, frische Glace erhalten.

Recommended to us by Hotel & Villa Auersperg. Excellent food which was very well presented. We wanted to sit outside and blankets were thoughtfully provided, and although the passage way was fairy busy it did not feel intrusive but added to atmosphere.

Es war zugebenermaßen ein sehr stürmischer Tag in Salzburg.Daher waren umherfliegender Schmutz auf den Tischen vielleicht nicht ungewöhnlich.Aber die Gläser mit der Öffnung nach oben im Außenbereich stehen zu lassen macht beim Gast zumindet keinen guten Eindruck.Bezüglich des Essen hat im Vergeleich zu unseren früheren Besuchen die Qualität des bestellten Wiener Schnitzels leider nachgelassen.Die Panade war sehr fettig und das Fleisch selbst sehr faserig. Dafür fanden wir den Preis mit 33,90 € überhöht.
